I was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1977
Started working with music in 1995 while getting my degree in Communication and Journalism. After two years working as a TV producer, I became a staff photographer for the daily national newspaper A Capital extensively covering daily life, politics and arts in Portugal.
In 2004 I became a freelancer, working mainly for the arts industry with clients such as: Sony Music, Warner Music, Dance Club magazine, Rocksound magazine, Zut! (modern dance company), Rita Guerra (singer) among others.
My work has been published in press all over the world, The Guardian (UK), Rolling Stone Magazine (USA), The Daily Mail (UK), Hürriyet(Turkey), Milliyet (Turkey), Esquire (USA), New Zealand Herald (New Zealand), Veja Magazine (Brazil), Sexy Magazine (Brazil), Publico (Portugal), DN (Portugal) just to name a few, i also have work published in two books: “Sandálias de Prata” Bertrand Editora, 2001, and “Nou Art of Belize” a book about new Belizean art.
I left Portugal in March 2009 and traveled extensively through India, Nepal and Bahrain.
In March 2010 I based myself in Istanbul, Turkey, where I worked with clients such as Kenan Doğulu, Redferns/Getty Images, Red Bull, Yalın, Oğuzhan Koç, Kipling, Gulsen, Mustafa Ceceli and many others.
September 2015 brought yet another move, back to Portugal where i now am based working as a freelancer and also as the entertainment photographer for Redferns and Getty Images.
